Making sure your Will is up to date is something we would recommend you check at least every 5 years or after any major change in your life. A review of your Will makes sure that the most important people in your life are looked after and your wishes are still up to date. We would recommend you checking your Will if you:
- Are divorced or separated
- Getting married (this cancels any Will you made before)
- Have children or children from new relationships
- You move house
- If the Executor named in your Will dies
So, whether you have a new addition in your family or the dynamics of your family have changed, an updated Will reduces the pressure on your family and any disputes if the worst should happen. A disputed Will can cause a lot of stress for loved ones, who are also dealing with a recent loss.
In November, we can update your Will and help 9 charities
At Fidler and Pepper Lawyers we are always on hand to update your Will. In November, as part of the Will Aid Initiative you can review your Will and rather than pay a fee to us, you can make a donation to 9 of the UK’s best loved charities. We understand that when your life changes, updating your Will may not be the top of your list, however when you are ready we will be here to help.
